Pink is the real deal
The Prague Post Online: "Currently on tour promoting her Try This album, the tough-talking Philly rocker (also known as Alecia Moore) has been earning qualified raves, even from such unlikely places as the Guardian and The Observer. The consensus seems to be that she's the heir apparent to Madonna ... and Britney, Christina and Kylie.
Part of the reason is the sheer scale of Pink's shows -- on a par with the most over-the-top Madonna extravaganzas, which themselves took the Stones' and Pink Floyd's stage epics to even greater heights. Pink's shows include more simulated sex, stunts, mirrors, light effects and outrageous costumes and wigs than you could hope for at the circus.
The other big part of her appeal is attitude. 'Pink has certainly earned the right to do whatever she damn well pleases,' her Web site trumpets, which also describes her show. She pulls a guy from the front row and forces him into a modified dental chair for some bondage. She simulates oral action on a blowup sex doll with a striking resemblance to Christina Aguilera. She performs acrobatic maneuvers from the heights of the auditorium. "
